Lara Croft Tomb Raider: The Angel Of Darkness is an action-adventure video game developed by Core Design and published by Eidos Interactive. It is the sixth instalment in the Tomb Raider series and was released in 2003 for PlayStation 2 and PC.
The game follows the iconic character Lara Croft as she tries to clear her name after being falsely accused of murdering her former mentor Werner Von Croy. In order to do this, she must uncover a conspiracy involving a black market for valuable artefacts and a dangerous cabal known as The Cabal.
The game features traditional gameplay mechanics such as puzzle-solving, exploration, and combat. However, it also introduces new elements such as stealth mechanics, where Lara can hide in the shadows and sneak past enemies undetected.
The graphics and animations of the game were praised for their realism and cinematic quality. However, the game also received criticism for its overly complex storyline, clunky controls, and numerous bugs and glitches.
Lara Croft Tomb Raider: The Angel Of Darkness remains a cult classic among fans of the series and is considered an important milestone in the evolution of Lara Croft as a video game character.
